一名男子近日到賣羊肉的小吃店消費，發現土羊肉的售價較羊肉高，就連土雞肉也比雞肉貴，問「東西加個土字都可以賣比較貴嗎？」文章掀起討論，網友表示，並非所有土字的食物都較貴，高價的關鍵在於品質，有人舉土鳳梨酥為例，土鳳梨酥和一般鳳梨酥冬瓜內餡相比，是純鳳梨熬煮，口感較紮實、好吃，「身價」自然就提高。
原PO昨（3）日於PTT八卦版指出，觀察到標榜賣羊肉及土羊肉的兩種店家，土羊肉的價格較貴，接著他又發現土雞肉的售價也比雞肉高，質疑加個「土」字售價就會抬高。
貼文引發熱議，網友表示，並非所有有「土」字的食物都是高價物，零售服務商《馬爸爸的私人廚房》在臉書提到，以土羊肉來說，和一般羊肉相比，較無羶味、皮富含膠質很Q、口感很嫩。
此外，也有人點名含有土字的美食，像是常見的土鳳梨酥，與傳統的鳳梨酥使用冬瓜餡相比，土鳳梨酥是純鳳梨熬煮，口感更為紮實，因此售價當然會比較高。
